I've been teaching and designing great training experiences my whole life. I mean, in High School, other kids were mowing lawns. I tutored middle schoolers and elementary kids in reading and math! It doesn't matter what job I've had - there has always been an educational component. I love the challenge of figuring out WHO the learner is and WHAT they need to experience to unlock their full potential!I've got a wide entrepreneurial and innovative lens through which I view the world. I love the challenge of helping small businesses, non-profits, and government organizations think differently about how education can play a vital role in their overall success. It's my love of a new and interesting challenge that has driven my diverse and varied career path. My better half Blair will tell you, "once he has something figured out, expect a change within six months."I'm also very passionate about business. I would say it's my job and my hobby. Nothing brings me more satisfaction than getting all the pieces of the puzzle in place that enable a business to run smoothly and succeed. Experience has taught me that people are at the center of every successful business.So, I guess at the end of the day, I'm really a person who is passionate about people. I want to know what makes them tick and how I can help them better learn and grow. Personally, I’m the son of a career Marine who retired a Colonel, so I'm the product of his staunch directness and my mom's empathetic wisdom. I'm a father of two kids growing fast and teaching me new things every day. I'm an ardent supporter of my incredibly talented and smart wife Blair, and while I’m not a native of Charlotte, I might as well be having lived here since 1996.
