Following 27 years experience with Formpak, as a client for over 15 years, an employee and business consultant for 8 years, we've finally made it official and I'm a Formpak Director. My role within Formpak continues to be a mixture of chemical legislation, technical and business know-how and input on all aspects of customer support, sales and strategy. I and other team members at Orchadia still supply consultancy to Formpak and others, with a unique understanding of a complex industry which enables effective problem solving and solutions.

I founded Orchadia Solutions in 2006. Orchadia supplies perfumery, technical and regulatory expertise to Perfume Houses, Ingredient Suppliers, Fragrance Product Designers & Producers and Fragrance Retailers. Core to all these activities is the desire to assist clients and enable progress in a direct, effective and considerate way – to really help. Orchadia also has a subsidiary TIPA - The International Perfume Academy www.perfume-training.com which is focused on professional training.Some examples of the work we do:• REGULATORY SERVICES – For fragrances, essential oils and blends. Including Safety Data Sheets, CLP Labelling advice, IFRA Certification and Allergen Certificates;• FRAGRANCE DEVELOPMENT– Specialist evaluation; working with fragrance houses; creative & insightful fragrance development.• BUSINESS SOLUTIONS - Including specialist evaluation, raw material research and appraisals, specialist marketing, visual communication. • WORKSHOPS & TRAINING – Fragrance business and understanding; insight into creative processes; fragrance communication, the power of scent; regulatory and technical training including GHS, CLP and IFRA.

Formpak provides software to the Flavour, Fragrance, Ingredient, Cosmetic & Toiletry Industries. Particular Formpak specialties exist in software for product development, regulatory affairs and managing documentation, including SDS authoring.My role includes technical & regulatory responsibility, software product development, business strategy, sales & marketing, including:SALES & MARKETING –Business promotion through the web site, articles, presentations, blog, and participation in industry eventsPRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & SUPPORT - Contributing a customer perspective at all stages of product design. Authoring Help documentation and providing on and off site customer supportREGULATORY MANAGEMENT – Ongoing investigation and understanding of legislation and its effects on the chemicals, fragrance and flavour industries. Contributing to industry understanding of legislation through membership of trade associations and by giving presentations.
