As Nutanix made the transition to software sales, I was instrumental in driving the SW deals through to the finish line and education both externally with customers and internally with field teams on both the technical aspects and as well the the financial structures and incentives that would drive the deals forward.Large enterprise accounts have complex needs in terms of product requirements and functionality, pricing, consumption of software entitlements, terms and conditions etc that requires me to focus on technical, financial, legal and support needs. I need to address customers needs and pull in the right people to get these complex deals through the finish line.

As one of the first PMs at Nutanix, I had to build trust and relationships with various parts of the organization across the company. As Nutanix grew, I managed a team that was responsible for our first party appliance roadmap which even today accounts for 70% of the revenue stream. In addition, the team focused on pricing strategy, licensing and tiers of software we sell, serviceability of the platform to make sure the systems self heal and the software make break-fix management easy, life-cycle management to simplify upgrades and updates. As we pivoted to being more software centric, I was charted to drive our SW solution both in terms of the roadmap and platform support but also the GTM strategy around it.

■ Automation: With infrastructure already in place, the main focus at Riverbed was to expand the Interceptor scripting code base. Leading the CLI parsing and functional APIs, the interceptor automation quadrupled in a short period of time.□ Setting examples on how to take advantage of the newly designed APIs for feature and CLI obfuscation□ Leading cross-function efforts for code standardization□ Understanding intricate details of ESX deployment and storage.

■ Automation: Initiated process, designed, developed (team of 2) and currently maintain a set of guidelines and libraries for automation of features using TCL. Lead contact in my group for all automation related efforts and share lead responsibility amongst a core group for all PIX/ASA script development across three geographic locations.
