About Peri Sheinin

My name is Peri Sheinin and I work with Tennis Channel as the host of On The Rise, the first podcast devoted to women’s college tennis. I am entering my third season covering college tennis for Cracked Racquets on ESPN digital platforms. I graduated from Brown University in 2021, where I studied English and played Division I tennis. This spring, I am the assistant women's tennis coach at Brown.I spent three years as a Sports Anchor/Reporter at WHSV-TV in Virginia. At WHSV, I created and hosted Women in Sports, an original series spotlighting exceptional female athletes and sports personalities in the Virginia/DC area. I also hosted Student Athlete of the Week, a feature series spotlighting elite student-athletes as they transition from high school to college.
