After being fascinated by science and computers at school, I joined Heber Ltd an electronics designer and manufacture as an apprentice. Now 20 years later, I am still enjoying talking to clients discovering their requirements and then developing an electronic control system to suit there needs. I have been developing electronics and embedded systems for wide range of market sectors such as gaming, domestic appliances, security and vending. Utilizing the experience gained in each market, to cross pollinate ideas across sectors. Variety is a great source of work enjoyment for me and Heber has been great in that respect. Starting as an apprentice presented me with the opportunity to work in every department within the company. Even now during my working week I am often required to wear a number of different hats from sales, marketing, engineer, software developer, purchasing and project manager. During my time at Heber I have been instrumental in helping develop the product portfolio and services offered by the company. I have generated product ideas and been part of the team that has developed the internationally successful Pluto and Xline product ranges. I enjoy helping the company develop its business plan and strategy. Away from work I enjoy spending time playing with my kids, playing golf, reading books or watching football.
