Adviced Latin American Studies MA graduate students and undergraduates completing the Minor in Global Studies with a specialization in Latin American Studies, and coordinated the residency of national and international visiting professors.

Graduate student advisor and program coordinator for the Sociology PhD program. In this role I independently managed all aspects of the Sociology Department's graduate program serving as its primary advisor, resource person, and liaison to 40 domestic and international graduate students, 10 designated emphasis students, 16 ladder-rank faculty, mentor to prospective graduate students, and program representative to campus community.

Graduate program coordinator of the renowned and interdisciplinary Latin American Studies MA, dual master, and PhD program. In this position I was responsible for the academic management of over 60 domestic and international master and doctoral students, liaison to over 160 faculty members from across 30 academic departments, coordinator for various graduate student research grants and scholarships, mentor to prospective students, and program representative to campus community and international public. These responsibilities were executed in a Spanish and English bilingual environment.

Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS)Under the general direction of the Executive Director and Director of Programs, in this position I managed the Travel Scholarship Program. This program provided funding to STEM undergraduates, graduates, and postdocs to attend the annual SACNAS National Conference for research presentations, mentorship opportunities, networking and professional development. Responsibilities included advertising the program to a national audience, recruiting and advising applicants, managing the award selection process of over 1,200 applications, orchestrating travel and lodging logistics for 1,000 award recipients, developed an orientation for first time conference attendees, and managed a budget funded by grants from federal agencies.
