Managed about 10 graduate students, interns, and planned collaborations with other universities. Wrote grant proposals. Performed research related to cyber-security, compilers, virtual machines, and interpreters.

I studied the interaction between programmers and compilers in the context of parallel programming, automatic parallelization and vectorization. Specifically, my research focuses on how the programmer can improve the source code to allow the compiler to optimize more and how the compiler can suggest necessary improvements.

HiPEAC Internship where I worked as a part of the compiler team at the IBM Haifa Research labs. Focus was on compiler driven suggestions for source code improvements. Such improvements allow auto-parallelization, auto-vectorization and locality enhancing transformations to succeed. Implementation was based on the GNU Compiler Collection and Eclipse.

Prototyped iOS application.

Lead the planning and subsequent development of a major new revenue protection system for the Norwegian Postal Services. A later version of the system was also adopted by the Danish Postal Services. It is used in production today as the primary means of collecting fees for missing postage on business and private letters of parcels in both Norway and Denmark. Technologies: .NET, SQL Server, Web Services, IBM Websphere MQ.

Partook in the design and prototyping of an innovative information delivery system to be used in the cockpits of commercial airline companies as a replacement of prior paper-based solutions. Technologies: Java, .NET, C#, web-services, XML related technologies (XML Schema, XSL Transform, XQuery).

Participated in the development of a web-based administration systems for a large and well-renowned Danish pension fund, ATP. Solemnly planned and developed a self-service system for delivery of take-off data to regional and European airlines - for Scandinavian Airline Services. Technologies used: Oracle Databases, Perl, Java, JSP, Solaris, Windows.
