About Perminder Jit Kaur

I am currently working as Assistant professor in Lal Bahadur Shastri institute of management.Previously, I was serving as a Senior Policy Fellow, jointly appointed by the Department of Science and Technology and the Centre for Policy Research at IISc, Bangalore. My professional journey has encompassed diverse roles, with combination of technogy and policy research.With a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi, India, and over 15 years of invaluable experience in research and education, I've dedicated my career to making impactful contributions to the field. Notably, I've co-authored a comprehensive book on the Sustainable Extraction of Metals work as a scientist focuses on various critical areas, such as sustainable development, circular economy, clean and green energy, biofuel, EV. Beyond the laboratory, I'm actively involved in the Atal Tinkering Lab program of Niti Ayog, serving as a Mentor for Change to educate school children. I also engage in knowledge dissemination through live lectures on various channels.My commitment to advancing knowledge extends to editorial roles and peer review for numerous International Journals, including Cambridge publishers, the International Journal of Emerging Technology and Advanced Engineering, the International Journal Series in Multidisciplinary (IJSMR), Journal of Nanoscience and Technology, and Journal of Progressive Research in Modern Physics and Chemistry.In recognition of my contributions, I've been honored with the "Professor Meera Madan Best Thesis" award from IIT Delhi, the "Women Scientist" scholarship from the Ministry of Science and Technology (DST), and the "Young Scientist" Award from the Ministry of Earth Sciences.Beyond my professional endeavors, I am characterized by my unwavering dedication, a deep love for nature, and a passion for reading. My specialities include S&T-based policy research, biomass treatment and characterisation, bioenergy, and green hydrogen technologies. I'm also proficient in teaching, public speaking, and delivering live talks on television, as well as adept at managing conferences, seminars, and workshops, and fostering effective team building.
