Manage hazardous and chemical waste programs for clients onsite following RCRA, DOT, and other state and federal regulations. Characterize, consolidate, pack and ship waste for clients. Properly segregate and package hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals and waste, including pharmaceuticals, to minimize or eliminate potential hazards. Assist in the administration and implementation of hazardous materials waste programs; including planning, organizing, coordinating and scheduling hazardous waste activities to include: transport, inventory, identification and classification, storage and shipment. Align work orders to minimize mileage and travel time, assess potential customer needs, present products and services to develop new customers. Responsible for the day to day management of office activities, technicians, client management of the southeastern region for environmental compliance testing of petroleum and hazardous substances in underground storage tank systems pursuant to EPA 40 CFR 280.12, state, and county rules. Developed customer contacts, and recommended additional services to clients based upon their requests and needs to increase profits. Ensured that organizational goods or services consistently meet client needs. Provided sales quotations as well as sustained and renewed client contracts. Prepared work order with accurate scoping of work, and ensured work was completed on time and within budget. Administrative duties included operator verification forms, documentation on failures, assure test results and notifications are sent to proper agencies, and review test results. Notify clients and necessary agencies on failures.

Performed project management of assessment, and remediation of contaminated facilities in order to achieve state-approved and RCRA No Further Action (NFA) or Conditional NFA status. Drafted and negotiated cost proposals, scheduling necessary activities for site assessment and remediation. Provided regulatory and program administration for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (FDEP) Bureau of Petroleum Storage Systems. Reviewed proposals, prepared work orders and negotiated scopes of work with the designated preapproval contractors. This position also provided site management and coordination in accordance with Florida state laws, FDEP rules and guidance, and preapproval program standard operating procedures (SOPs). Managed activities within FDEP professionals to ensure appropriate actions were taken for the remediation with budgets over $1 million.
