Pernilla Halldin has spent the last 25 years in the global context of the often interconnected fields of public affairs, sustainability and communication, always with the angle of geopolitics. She has worked and lived in different parts of the world; in Beijing, Hong Kong, Washington DC and Stockholm.Since 2021 Pernilla Halldin is heading the Global Public Affairs function at H&M Group, reporting to the CFO. She has a strategic and holistic mindset as well as an extensive experience of crisis management due to the exceptionally complex environment that surrounds a global company within the textile industry aiming to be in the forefront of sustainability. She has successfully built up the Global Public Affairs function at the company. Due to her vast experience and broad competence, she is a trusted and respected colleague working closely with the H&M Group CEO, CFO and the management team. Over the years, Pernilla Halldin has put her passion into industry associations to drive the industry agenda as well as H&M Group’s agenda forward. She was co-chairing policy groups at Sustainable Apparel Coalition (five years) the UNFCCC Fashion for Climate Action (five years), The Pathway Coalition (three years) and Global Fashion Agenda (four years). She is founding member and on the board of EBCA, on the board of EuroCommerce since 2023 and part of Cascale Public Affairs Strategic Council. She has actively worked on developing existing partnerships for H&M Group, like WWF, EMF, as well as finding new partnerships.Pernilla Halldin is a firm believer of collaborative coalitions and partnerships to create positive impact and systemic change.
