I'm on a new journey having joined Airsys as their Technical Account Manager. I have worked with the people at Airsys for many years during my previous employment and now I have the privilege to work alongside them.

Within my current position I play a leading role within the implementation of databases, asset tracking, structure and various other processes in order to improve turnaround, customer relations and profits whilst also overseeing the utilisation of limited resources, ensuring proper management and sourcing different suppliers where required to save money and improve the offering of the business. A key part of my many responsibilities is to oversee all aspects of project management, including; budget, scope and timescales, whilst ensuring client satisfaction throughout. I also lead a dedicated engineering team focused on delivering unsurpassed service within strict time limits and guaranteeing customer satisfaction and for this, I demonstrate extensive knowledge of products, systems and engineering standards, with experience in training and supervising others. Of my many successes during this time I have spearheaded the assessment of safety standards, ensuring that all organisational objectives were met and achieved whilst also co-writing the ISO handbook for the Engineering department and ensuring compliance within an ISO 9001 accredited environment. I have previously held full security clearance for No10 Downing Street, achieving this through a lengthy process. Additionally, I lead a team of engineers, with responsibility for training, coaching and developing them to meet business requirements. I also maintain budget control for the service department, overseeing; P&L, profitability reports and forecasts.

During my time within this position I achieved recognition for being the youngest Service Manager in company history, this was achieved through hard work, dedication and personal development. I proactively led a team of engineers; overseeing system design projects and driving efficiencies. For this, I maintained up-to-date and thorough knowledge of new technologies acquired, as well as training staff accordingly. Leading with a ‘hands-on' approach I remained available during the system design process to ensure complications were avoided and deadlines were met as per client’s requirements. I also championed customer service; ensuring that all clients felt valued, regardless of the size of the business. Additionally, I was responsible for the recruitment of staff, managing the full recruitment life-cycle and training the new hires on all systems before supplier training. I also provided extensive support to customers and dealers, with further responsibility for dealing with complaints and managing grievances in the workplace and with customers.

I enjoyed a challenging and varied role where I was responsible for designing, installing and maintaining complex RF systems and carrying out engineering duties such as; product training, system design and board level repairs to component level. I have also managed the setup of broadcasting talkback systems for the BBC and various other broadcasters, whilst overseeing various other work such as; PMR/DMR/MPT1327 protocols and IP based systems.

I completed my apprenticeship at RECC after finishing my HND in Electrical Engineering at The Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa. I serviced, installed and repaired a vast range of marine electronics equipment as well as two way radio equipment.
