Head of the IP Management development unit in Berkeley. This involves the responsibility for Product Management, System Design, Engineering and Testing of OAM products for IP networks. The first products were released in late 2000 and by 2001 we had 20 customers in Europe, China, and Australia. During this time the unit grew from 22 to 45 people in 2001. Later in 2001 the recession took its toll on Ericsson design centers around the world and we decided consolidate the units in Stockholm. The first months of 2002 involved the full closure of the Berkeley office whilst securing key staff agreed to move to Stockholm to secure ongoing business. In April 2002 the office was closed and the R&D operations where successfully moved to Stockholm and operational in the summer.

During the period of September 1996 to April 1997 I was the acting manager of the System Integration business unit (Revenue 135 MSEK) bringing the BU from red figures (FY96) to black in FY97.

The function has the responsibilities of coordinating the migration of the networks and computers between the four shareholder countries of UBN (UBN Sweden, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Spain). Part of the job included the responsibility of migrating the Spanish Data Operations organization into Unisource. The organization is 200 people operating the worlds largest X.25 and F/R network based on Nortel equipment.
