Verizon is a global company in the telecommunications/IT area with close to 200,000 employees worldwide. Team Leader (04/2008 – 12/2012). I had a team of six people reporting to me, I was though still very involved in the daily tasks. Our main focus was to keep the level of suspense (unbilled call data) as low as possible, and we were also looking after our wholesale customers in EMEA. Most of my time was spent looking on customer queries and disputes, especially in the voice area, analysing call data and performing re-rates of incorrectly rated traffic. It required strong analytical skills as well as a close connection to other departments such as Sales, Pricing and Credit & Collection. Also, from 2007 onwards Verizon have migrated across most billing systems to Singl.eView, and I played an important role in migrations covering voice systems/products. My experience also gave me the possibility to be part of knowledge transfers to India and Czech Republic during outsourcing activities.

Most time was spent on keeping suspense low, on my own I managed to reduce and stabilize suspense at levels around 75% below earlier amounts. The job gave me a strong knowledge of systems and products as well as new point of contacts. In the Solna office I soon became the person colleagues would seek advice from when running into issues. During 2006 I also supported the outsourcing of tasks to Czech Republic, training them on site how to pick up voice orders and how to set them up in our billing systems.

Citypendeln managed, on behalf of Stockholms Lokaltrafik, the commuter trains in the Stockholm area between 2000 and 2006.Accounting Assistant (06-07/2001, 06-08/2002, 06-08/2003). Summer internships at the accounting department for three years, I primarily worked with supplier ledgers, cash reports, and book-keeping including drawing-up, registrations, and monthly reconciliations of accounts. In addition, I prepared and distributed a weekly accounts receivables report, as well as handled the cash inflow from customers. During these summers, I gained a both broad and deep understanding of the entire accounting function.
