My current role involves leading the delivery of a professional FM/Property service to a large portfolio of schools of various size, age and construction type, working with a multi-disciplinary team including M&E engineers, asbestos officers and statutory authorities. Experience of delivering and managing annual capital maintenance programmes involving a range of project types.Core duties includes chairing an annual condition and improvement meeting with school leadership teams, and managing AMP data for my portfolio with a focus on condition, suitability and sufficiency. Detailed knowledge of school compliance and facilities management.Experience of managing capital projects and reactive maintenance projects/works derived from AMP process including budget costing, writing project briefs, tender process and pre/post contract management.Experience of undertaking stock condition surveys in accordance with DfE 'Condition' criteria and needs as well as managing consultants undertaking previous 5 Year stock condition surveys for my portfolio. As part of the asset management plans I develop bespoke 5 year planned capital maintenance and improvement programmes (based upon condition, suitability and sufficiency) including detailed fund bidding for maintained, aided and academy schools.Advise on procurement, option appraisal and maintenance methodology.Experience of post construction defects and remedial works and good practice. I work closely with other property professionals including consultants, suppliers and contractors.Increasing value placed on sustainability and energy efficiency as part of maintenance and upgrading including PV installation and LED lighting.
