This analysis and understanding of the issues and assets were essential in developing the Recreation Program and Facilities Plan, a ten-year road map utilized in providing planning for capital improvements and assessing program needs.Selected Achievements♣ Authored and issued Request for Proposals (RFPs) and developed scope of work with Ameresco, an energy service company, to complete a system wide energy audit and make recommendations for an Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC). This effort was in partnership with the City of Redmond in which $5 million in performance improvements were identified.♣ Completed cost estimates for multiple capital and refurbishment projects and several potential historic structure renovations.♣ Responsible for the development of the RAPRD Recreation Program and Facilities Plan (RPFP), a visioning document to serve as a framework for future decision making on programs offerings and capital expenditures. The City of Boulder Parks and Recreation Department provides a variety of recreation opportunities for the residents of Boulder and the surrounding areas by providing a variety of programming, facilities and other activities.Park & Recreation Planning Manager/Project Manager Responsibilities as the Project Manager included oversight of a variety of Capital Improvement and Refurbishment construction projects. Managed all aspects for the development of a variety of master plans for city, community and neighborhood parks, athletic fields, and recreation centers, the Flatirons Golf Course, the Boulder Municipal Complex, the Pearl Street Mall and the Boulder Reservoir. This included; comprehensive public input, design oversight, consultant selection, preparing permit applications, cost estimates and construction plans, soliciting bids for and construction oversight. While in this position, I was responsible for the coordination with several project specific workgroups, established an on-going public/private partnership, and solicited funding from numerous privately held companies.
