Organised many events for the university, and kept the society’s paperwork in order. Liaised with the student union to acquire funding for the society. Successfully arranged for the society to become an associate of the Society of Biology.

Worked on day to day care of the birds, and discussed with owners ways of making the site more accessible to younger guests. Remodelled aviaries to be more species appropriate. Provided knowledge about the birds and the trust’s work to guests.

Assisted in nursing procedures in a busy veterinary environment, observed in consultations and prepared prescriptions and surgical kits. Worked on the reception desk filling in forms for clients, answering the phone and making appointments. Developed an appropriate manner in dealing with sensitive issues, such as euthanasia.
