My background in having been both a small business owner, as well as the VP of Sales and Marketing for a Tech Company, has allowed me to build a practice where I understand both the needs of client's that are complex, as well as those who need to know they will have what is required for the retirement they envision for themselves. The goals may be challenging, yet the process is simple…I listen and ask questions. The biggest question I ask is, "What is important to you?" With the answer to that question, I work to help people reach their goals. In the various areas I have worked in over the years, my focus has always been problem solving and helping those I worked with to succeed personally and professionally. Serving as a financial advisor is a great fit for me on many levels for these reasons. Striving to achieve "your" goals is my motivation.A big part of my practice is generational wealth preservation and estate planning. I seek to engage families and beneficiaries to establish expectations as early as possible, guiding them through each stage. I enjoy making a difference in the lives of others and find great satisfaction in working with families over generations as I do.I live in Kitchener with my wife of 26 years. We have been blessed with five children and one grandson. As the father of children with special needs, I understand how complicated preparing for their futures can be. Therefore, I am passionate about helping parents of children with special needs plan for their children's futures as well as their own.I fill my personal time with my family, serving in my church and enjoying my church community, as well as the occasional e-bike ride throughout the beautiful Waterloo Region.
