I report directly to the CIO and am responsible for any problematic IT issues that might arise. I have been part of many teams, but most of my work has centered around integration with 3rd party apps and reporting through PowerBI. Denali is a strong supporter of Microsoft Azure and I have had to step up and learn the fundamentals of Azure administration, data processing, artificial intelligence and security.In my time with Denali, I have served on teams to sunset old applications, managed their network of virtual machines, built several integrations using Azure Data Factory with a mixture of SFTP and Rest API data end points, and built/managed library of stored procedures for the PowerBI reporting infrastructure.I have experience in working both on teams and as a solo contributor. Currently I work primarily with the team of report developers in building their reports by providing clean data from various sources.

Responsible for managing all aspects of the software development life cycle for applications within the Property domain including the completion of project deliverables, managing the defect and enhancement backlog and managing a team of developers, engineers, and analysts.

In my time with Hilton I have served on a number database related projects including Salesforce Integration, performance enhancements, and application development.The majority of time spent with Hilton was dedicated to building a database and accompanying application to assist with the sales audit process. I used Microsoft SQL and Analysis Services to build the underlying transaction and analytical databases, SQL Reporting Services for report design, and C#/ASP.net to build the web front end. Using SQL Server Integration Services I built integration packages to merge several databases across multiple platforms into a consolidated, cleaned database for integration into a single Salesforce instance. I was also responsible for assisting in performance tuning and solving issues with long running queries and jobs. In one case I was able to help with a long running job lasting almost 24 hours. Through index tuning, and query design changes I was able to bring the job down to 12 minutes.

Served in a multi-faceted role primarily involved in replacing current systems with external SSAS vendors. This work involved assisting in vendor selection, helping to clearly communicate business requirements, and building integrations between existing and new systems. During this transition, I was responsible for supporting existing systems by leveraging developers and infrastructure to isolate and repair issues.Served as the primary database architect for existing database schemas, building integrations, and developing and maintaining data warehouses. This work was done using a combination of Microsoft SQL, Integration Services, Analysis and Reporting Services (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).

Assisted in the migration of the existing financial applications suite (e.g. general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, contributions) from a DOS platform to Windows using VB4 and Access 2.0. Provided installation and on-site training to customers. Each week long on-site visit involved on boarding the customers and performing a variety of duties ranging from network configuration, software installation, some amount of fund accounting training (if needed) and finally a full demonstration of the full suite of software.
