Perry's responsibilities include handling all legal aspects of WorkWave's business, including contracts and licenses, compliance, risk management, intellectual property, litigation, and strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic investments and cross border transactions. Perry implements processes and procedures with respect to, and oversees compliance with, US and international laws, including privacy and data security regulations and laws relating to conducting operations in domestic and international jurisdictions.

In his extensive career in private practice, including as a partner in the corporate departments of Morrison Cohen LLP and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, Perry served as an adviser and counselor to numerous established and early and growth stage companies and to financial and strategic investors. Perry served as lead corporate counsel in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital financing transactions, as well as fund formation and fund investment transactions for sponsors and limited partners. Perry regularly served in the role of senior adviser and outside general counsel, advising boards of directors and executive management teams on corporate governance, strategic transactions, licensing, high value commercial agreements, equity and debt financings, and day-to-day corporate counseling. Perry was regularly involved in cross-border transactions, including engagements involving acquisitions, investments and operations in India, China, Germany, Mexico, Israel, the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Romania and Canada.
