Served as the chief of strategy, operations, and impact & learning for philanthropic foundation with $530M asset base and annual giving in California and Washington State K-12 education of approximately $21M. Oversee and manage strategic planning, impact & learning, organizational development, facilities, administration, and technology systems.

Served as the chief strategist and the primary policy advisor to the city's Superintendent in the 48,000-student urban school district with $600M annual revenues, 86 district-run schools/40 charter schools, and over 4200 employees. Co-architect, author, and coordinator for the district’s unanimously adopted five-year strategic plan, Community Schools, Thriving Students (www.thrivingstudents.org). Managed the senior leadership structure of the district and the daily operations of the Superintendent’s office; supported the Board of Education and its staff relationships; functioned as primary liaison between the Superintendent and the system’s external partners; and advised on district-wide academic, operational, and policy planning efforts. Provided oversight of the district’s philanthropic fundraising efforts, including management of public/private grants portfolio (over $30M private and $50M public).
