With a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Brighton, and a Top Student Award from RSB, I possess a strong foundation in research, laboratory techniques, and data analysis. Specifically, I am looking to develop my scientific research skills in a position that contributes meaningfully to science and helps slow the planetary emergency we are currently experiencing.I bring a comprehensive skill set in both manual and automated laboratory practices. My hands-on experience includes pipetting, microscope work with slide preparation and analysis, staining, colony counting, organism identification, titration, and pH investigations. I am adept at automated processes such as gel electrophoresis, PCR, and centrifugation. Additionally, I excel in electronic processes, including statistical analysis using SPSS, Jamovi, and Excel, as well as report generation and the quantification and presentation of results. I prioritise adherence to health and safety procedures, including an understanding of COSHH regulations and fire safety.Demonstrating a strong work ethic and resilience, I successfully maintained part-time employment throughout my education. My excellent communication and teamwork skills complement my self-motivation, drive, and ability to quickly learn and fully engage during training.
