I know how it feels to cling to the tiniest shred of hope for yourself even after the doors of the locked psychiatric facility click shut behind you. I also know how it feels to share that hope for recovery with others who may not have been told they will ever have a meaningful life. That is the basis of peer support.As someone who received primarily traditional mental health supports and services in my own life, I love being a part of moving these systems forward and enhancing the resources that program participants can access. I am experienced in direct peer support, peer program management, strategic planning, providing training, event planning, volunteer coordination, and community organizing. My approach to all work is from a collaborative and trauma informed perspective. I am grateful every day to have the opportunity to do this for a living.
