Gaan! werd voor het eerst uitgegeven in december 1999 als reactie op de beperkte informatieverschaffing binnen de reisbranche. Centraal binnen het blad stond de “pre holiday experience” van jongeren tussen de 18 en 35 jaar. Het blad informeerde de doelgroep onder andere over vakantiebestemmingen en ervaringen van leeftijdsgenoten. Alles met een sterke lifestyle-georiënteerde inslag. Het blad werd 8x per jaar in oplage van 100.000 st. gratis verspreidt via horeca in heel Nederland. Vanuit het blad werd de lezers verwezen naar de website: gaan.nl. IdtV is uiteindelijk partner geworden.
