I've been working in the field of research for about 15 years. In this period, I've got a wide experience in conducting experimental research, mastered a variety of modern optical and laser-based measurement techniques, perfected my skills in optics and lasers, spectroscopy and fluorescence, learnt various approaches to data analysis as well as become a specialist in undertaking literature review and writing scientific articles and reports.In particular, the optical and laser-based techniques include normal imaging with direct or background lighting, schlieren visualisation, IR imaging, PIV/PTV, PLIF, etc., including Planar Fluorescence for Bubbles Imaging (PFBI) - a home-made method for bubbly flow visualisation developed by me with the assistance of other colleagues. As for data analysis, these approaches include but not limited to statistical and correlation-based methods, image processing and pattern recognition, neural networks, etc.A sufficient number of presentations at leading international symposiums (e.g., International Conference of Multiphase Flow, International Symposium of Cavitation, Turbulence Heat and Mass Transfer, Turbulence and Shear Flow Phenomena, etc.) and publications in high-rated scientific journals, namely International Journal of Multiphase Flow, Ocean Engineering, Experiments in Fluids, Physics of Fluids and others, most of which are mainly written myself, give an overview of my general skills and experience.
