About Peta Cornell
I am employed as a Teaching Focused Academic at Curtin University and I also work as a midwife in private practice with Simply Midwifery. I have been a midwife since 2006 working across the continuum of care in a secondary hospital and in homebirth. I completed the course for endorsement in 2014 and became endorsed in July 2021. I have taught midwifery and nursing subjects at Curtin University since 2017 and have been recognised by Curtin University with clinical equivalence of qualification AQF Level 10. I completed a Master of Philosophy (Nursing and Midwifery) in 2022. I continue to work as a midwife in private practice providing Medicare rebateable antenatal and postnatal services, prescribing as required and homebirth.
