Working in System Oversight and Performance within Drug Policy and Reform at the Department of Health and Human Services.

Undertook the Victorian Public Service Graduate Entry Program which consisted of 4 months as a Graduate Policy Officer in Department of Health and Human Services in the Community Sector Capacity Building Team, 3 months as a Graduate Policy Officer in Intergovernmental Relations at the Department of Education and Training, and a Graduate Project Officer for Transport for Victoria (TfV) in the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources. The program also involved a sponsored group project on responding to sudden economic shock in rural and regional Victoria consisting of a literature review, internal subject matter expert interviews, thematic analysis, policy toolkit generation and presentation to sponsor and relevant internal stakeholders.

Social work placement working in a multidisciplinary clinical team in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. Consisted of mental health assessment and psychological treatment of those under the age of 18 with moderate to severe mental health problems.

Taught a preliminary course through the Adult Migrant English Program to a class of migrant and refugee students. Placement required the creation and application of lesson plans and resources to Certificate of Spoken and Written English curriculum standards.

Worked with Disability Intake and Triage with the Department of Health and Human Services on a 3 month social work placement. Duties included complex case management, intake and triage interviews, internal and external referrals, risk analysis assessments, person-centred planning, eligibility assessments, administrative tasks and database management.
