Peta is an engineer, scientist and qualified company director (GAICD) with more than 20 years experience in the water and natural resources industries including 10 years in governance roles. She has held a number of chair roles; chairing various Board committees including Asset Governance and Risk and Audit Committees.Currently Chair at Barwon Asset Solutions, Deputy Chair at Barwon Water (chair of the Risk Committee), Commissioner at the Victorian Environmental Water Holder (and member of the Risk and Audit Committee), and an Independent Member of the Risk and Audit Committee at Surf Coast Shire Council.Peta has worked and consulted to private industry, state and federal governments and specialises in governance of organisations with a particular focus on complex issues such as water resources management, environmental management, asset management, infrastructure planning and delivery, integrated risk management in decision making, and stakeholder and customer engagement.She provides diversity in her thinking and approach to the Board and its governance. She applies her engineering and scientific skills in decision making, utilising an analytical approach to identify issues and practical proposals for action. She has a dedication to continuous improvement and reform of organisations, establishing structures and processes that support improved governance, positive workplace cultures and transparent reporting outcomes.
