I perform an number of managerial functions for E.E. Austin & Son. I am involved in our business development, human resources, legal, and safety efforts. I also oversee our Ready Mix Concrete Division.

I write leases, trouble shoot problems for tenants, acquire property, maintain a website, show our properties, and keep an eye on everything. I coordinate building maintenance and repair efforts. I help determine what capital improvements will be made. I write purchase orders to contractors and vendors. I fill in for our property manager as needed.

Perform legal research and law analysis primarily for consumer protection law and probate estates. Provide general support for Young & Yeargin attorneys.

Managed the turnover process of townhouses and apartments to clients. Completed 198 townhouses on Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, DC. Completed 228 apartments in Woodlawn, Maryland. Duties included subcontractor coordination and supervision of punchlist completion

Started as project management team member in the field for a commercial and industrial general contractor. Initial responsibilities included tracking quantities, ordering material and equipment, and managing man hours. Progressed to managing a $3 million scattered sites porject from central field office. Duties included writing and approving change orders, writing and answering RFI's, representing our company at weekly progress meetings, and serving as main communication link between our Superintendent and the Architect, the Owner, our main office, and our subcontractors' Project Managers. I worked on variety of projects including installing a foundation for equipment at a Pittsburgh Plate Glass plant, remodeling operating rooms and emergency rooms at Hamot Hospital, building a four story heart institute at Hamot Hospital, and constructing and rehabbing homes for the Erie Housing Authority. I also performed take-off in support of our estimator, estimated projects and change orders, attended pre-bid conferences, delivered bids, assisted in the bid room.
