About Pete Cunningham
Having served as a technician in the RAF for 22 years, I have accumulated extensive experience working with a diverse range of radar systems and satellite communication systems. My journey then led me to a teaching role, where I imparted knowledge about these systems. During my tenure, I was part of a team that upgraded the radar system, which now plays a crucial role in defending UK airspace. I have also been an IT technician for 6 years, which I have carried forward to my teaching role at Shrewsbury College. In my final 2 years in the RAF, I taught trade management to newly promoted Non-Commissioned officers.After leaving the RAF, I joined Shrewsbury Colleges Group as a student learning mentor, where I worked hard to help students achieve their full potential. In the last three years, I have also taught cohorts on the IT courses.
