Pete is an independent organisational consultant. Pete has enjoyed a long and varied career working across the public and voluntary sectors. This includes being the director of a local charity, a senior manager in a national organisation and working with senior leaders as a consultant, researcher and trainer on a wide variety of projects. Co-production Works specialises in supporting organisations across public services to work in co-production with people who use services, carers and citizens. Co-production Works, works with a wide range of associates including consultants, researchers, artists and filmmakers. Co-production Works is a one-stop shop for all your co-production needs. For 16 years Pete was Head of Co-production at the Social Care Institute for Excellence. Pete led SCIE’s programme of work around co-production. Pete was responsible for SCIE’s co-production training and consultancy offer, Co-production week, SCIE’s co-production resources and ensuring that people who use services and carers are at the heart of all SCIE’s work. Pete is the Founder of A Place to Think (APT), https://coproductionworks.co.uk/aplace2think/ . APT offers generic consultancy to public sector organisations. APT offers organisations skilled, supportive, independent, confidential facilitation and consultancy. Including reflective practice groups, event and meeting facilitation, awayday design and delivery, support if an organisation or team feels troubled or stuck in some way, strategy development, individual and group coaching. APT’s approach sees organisations as complex systems which need clarity around boundaries, roles, authority and tasks. APT also pays close attention to the emotional undercurrents of teams and organisations. Pete's approach in all his work is informed by his past experience of mental health issues, his experience of senior leadership and five years of study and reflection on organisational dynamics.
