For over a decade, I worked as the Coordinator for Arts and Technical Skills at Crisis, a leading homelessness charity. In my role, I focused on supporting adults experiencing homelessness by offering coaching, education, training, advocacy, and advice and guidance. I also built strong partnerships with key stakeholders in the homelessness and housing sector across the West Midlands.My work involved creating and delivering arts and technical skills programs that catered to the specific needs of adults facing homelessness. The programs covered various skills needed to build emotional resilience, motivation, confidence and social networks. I was also able to draw on my own passions to deliver creative skills in areas, like filmmaking, animation, design, and digital skills. Using my deep understanding of homelessness issues and solutions, I managed an awesome team of tutors and volunteers who carried out the arts and technical skills programs. My experience in coaching, case management, matrix standards, adult education, housing, and homelessness has allowed me to make a real difference in the lives of those we helped.As a dedicated advocate for social change, I'm all about finding and implementing fresh solutions to tackle the many challenges faced by the homeless population, and working alongside others in the sector to make a bigger impact together.

As a vital contributor to the growth of Qube Media, a multi-media creative hub specialising in youth training, radio and music production, video production, and creative advertising, I focused on developing business relationships to maximize commercial opportunities. My responsibilities extended to all aspects of the day-to-day operations and expansion of the creative media center.In my role, I delivered and assessed vocational apprenticeships and functional skills at the Birmingham-based creative media company. I ensured that lessons were well-planned, meaningful, and aligned with the awarding body's objectives (QCF / EDI) through diligent action planning.The apprenticeship courses aimed to equip students with transferable skills, preparing them for various roles within the creative media environment and music industry. I carried out regular site risk assessments, conducted induction processes, and introduced students to Individual Learning Plans, Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity policies, and assessment plans.My diverse group of young adult learners, aged between 16 and 24, often faced disengagement from mainstream education and possessed few or no previous vocational qualifications. I provided weekly feedback, additional support, and guidance as needed, prioritising student welfare and maintaining health and safety policies.By recognising students with specific learning requirements, I ensured they received the necessary support. My keen understanding of contemporary youth issues enabled me to address individual concerns and create a nurturing learning environment.
