Estimate and order materials, schedule work processes and train co-workers and new employees, extensive home renovations including complete kitchen and bathroom renovations, basement renovations, install windows and doors, shingles, siding, construction of pole barns, sheds, fences and decks, some landscaping and concrete/form work.

2006-2007 Tool-Plas Systems Tool and Die MakerResponsibilities: Manage multiple die builds, participate in die design reviews, approve CNC packages, oversee the machining process, lead apprentices and other die makers through build, track progress of builds, communicate any areas of concern and make suggestions for improvement, extensive problem solving, perform die tryout, blank developing, implement engineering changes as necessary, interpret CMM reports, modify the die to repeatedly produce parts as per customer supplied G.D. & T., perform customer buy-off in house as well as provide world wide on site customer support.

2005-2006 Superior Machine and Tool Class A Die MakerResponsibilities: Manage tool build through to completion, monitor and respect customer time lines, track die progress, and utilize troubleshooting techniques to avoid delays, lead apprentices and other die makers, train apprentices on various aspects of die functions, perform tryouts and adjust die accordingly, interpret quality layout reports, perform repeatability tests, produce parts that meet or exceed customer supplied G.D. & T. within set time line. Provide onsite customer support post buyoff.

2002-2004 Tilbury Assembly Tooling ManagerResponsibilities: Supervise, train and lead apprentices, toolmakers and other employees requiring technical guidance in metal forming and troubleshooting techniques. Develop new parts from corporate supplied tooling, and customer supplied part prints. Manage tool room activity, repair, replace, or make new wore out or broken die sections, order all tooling supplies as required. Troubleshoot problem or nonconforming processes and quality assurance manufacturing problems, create reports and implement changes to become more efficient. Evolve company from former Batch and Que process to the more efficient Lean Manufacturing process. I scheduled predictive and preventative maintenance for all tooling and other assets of the company. Use statistical techniques in the evaluation of manufacturing processes and capability studies and provide reports. I had direct interaction with customers, suppliers, and managers through written and verbal reporting.

1997-2002 Superior Machine and Tool Class B Die Maker Responsibilities: Using machinery such as horizontal and vertical milling machines, id/od grinders, surface grinders, blanchard grinders, engine lathes to produce die components, use of drill presses, hand grinders and other hand tools, vertical band saws and horizontal cut off saws, read blueprints, and make detailed drawings. Work in a high paced environment, to meet customer deadlines. Work with experienced tool makers throughout the build process. Spot forming steels to create a quality approved part, repeatable to customer supplied fixture and G.D. and T. Troubleshoot die functions and modify to allow die to continuously cycle in a manufacturing setting. Bring die to completion as per customer requirements. Setup and run tool buy off for customers, implement any changes to the tool necessary to the customer, and/or engineering changes required by the customer.

1993-1996 Benn Iron Foundry Mould MakerResponsibilities: Sand casting facility that produced parts for trains and train brake systems, as a mould maker I produced sand casted moulds to be poured by the melt and pour department. I also worked in all other departments including the core room where I assembled complex cores for the mould making process; charging the furnace where I would load charging buckets with scrap iron and specific additives to obtain the desired properties of alloy; ductile iron and grey iron where produced by this method; I was also responsible for the nodular testing of the grey iron after a charge was complete. I also worked in the Melt and Pour department where I operated a ladle and would pour molten metal into moulds at 2250 degrees Fahrenheit, also worked as a shaker operator where I used the hoist/overhead crane and pneumatic vibrators to remove sand after the casting had been poured. In the grinding room I also setup and performed finish grinding procedures of cast parts to customer specifications. Worked in pattern repair where I would repair or machine new pattern pieces as required. One of my primary duties was as a 3230 and 2016 specialized machine operator, which were both dedicated machines for the production of master cylinders and other detailed molds. Supervise, train and lead secondary operators on these machines. Maintain machinery and company assets as per company policy, perform preventative maintenance as per schedules.
