This involved introducing and coaching upwards of 70 staff on Agile concepts.Introduced Scrum into the organization, including assisting staff in becoming qualified Scrum Masters, and working with senior stakeholders to help drive Agile concepts. Also introduced new terminology and attitudes around managing "Technical Debt".Programme managed delivery of Microsoft 365 to over 1000 people, including Exchange Online migration, migration to InTune for mobile device management, and migration to Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive. -

Ict Support & Operations Team LeaderEast Devon District Council Jul 2013 - Nov 2014Ongoing leadership of the Support & Infrastructure team within the authority through a period of significant change and uncertainty. This included budgetary control, staff reviews and development, product roadmaps, customer escalations and daily contact with the businesses and internal teams.Lead a combined project to upgrade desktops from Windows XP to Windows 7, whilst also introducing a new 'mobile working' concept to all staff. This includes working with senior stakeholders and each service to establish laptop device requirements, product selection and specification, supplier negotiations, device configuration and rollout.Recognized the department was becoming far too siloed so introduced and led a successful 15-minute 'stand-up' meeting every day to vastly improve communication and collaboration.Significant input into the Shared IT Service business case that would eventually become Strata Service Solutions Delivery, having written the strategy for the IT Customer Services, Telephony and WAN elements whilst also being heavily involved in the Desktop design, Data Centre design and Active Directory design.

Ict InfrastructureEast Devon District Council Aug 2008 - Jul 2013Heavily involved in replacing an ageing Novell Network infrastructure with a Microsoft stack, including developing the new desktop and packaging the majority of applications to deploy via Microsoft SCCM.Implementation of a new Contact Centre solution, including customer training, migration from the old system and handover to the Service Desk for ongoing support, allowing the business to be far more reactive to customer demand.Introduced significant improvements to the corporate network by re-configuring the Core and Edge switching as per best practice, reducing failure demand whilst improving performance.Brought stability to an ageing Telephony platform by ensuring technical staff were suitably trained and followed new procedures, significantly cutting down failure demand and engineer costs.

Ict SupportEast Devon District Council Aug 2004 - Aug 2008General first and second-line support for the authority, supporting approximately 600 staff across multiple sites.Ran the ICT Induction programme so personally trained every new member of staff in the organisation with the basics they would need to get started in the business. Later, wrote an online induction process that new staff could run whenever they wanted.Brought in data intelligence into the department, which had previously had no analytical data on its performance or trends. Used this information to feed into a continuous improvement program across the whole department.
