Police Lieutenant
As a Police Lieutenant, I held a range of leadership roles, including Sector Commander, Watch Commander, and Special Operations Commander. In Special Operations, I managed units such as the SWAT Team, Explosive Disposal Unit, Patrol Canine, Crisis Negotiations Team, Crowd Control Team, and more. My responsibilities included overseeing special event planning, major incident response, and the department’s Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) response capability and training. I also led the implementation of the department’s In-Car Video program and serve as the liaison to the City of Eugene Human Resource Advisory Board.In my role as Acting Investigations Captain, I managed the Violent Crimes Unit, Property Crimes Unit, Financial Crimes Unit, and other specialized teams. I contributed to community relations as the department liaison to St. Vincent de Paul’s Homeless Camper Program and the Chair of the countywide Heroin Task Force. Additionally, I served on the Diversity Committee, UO Campus Detail, and the Lane County Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team, reinforcing my commitment to public safety and community engagement.
