Responsible for all aspects of firm wide Server and Storage infrastructure, managing a global team of 4 Engineers. Environment includes approximately 450 servers and 1.2 Petabytes of NetApp SAN storage, over 12 remote offices and two CoLo Data Centers.Key projects include:kCura Relativity design, implementation and ongoing support. - Designed a solution hosting 400 Workspaces using approximately 10 Terabytes of SQL DBs and 50+ TB of EDDS Case data. Implemented a DR/BC solution leveraging SAN level Snapshot technology to backup and replicate all data within a 4 hour RTO/RPO.FlexPod (NetApp, Cisco Blade UCS, VMware Enterprise) migration. - Designed a hardware and deployment solution converting the firms 300+ Hyper-V Virtual Machine environment to VMware 5.1, while at the same time replacing all Physical hosts and SAN appliances. Primary Data Centers leveraging multiple Cisco UCS Blades, 10 GB FCoE and NFS connections between host and storage, very cool stuff. All VMs backed up and replicated using Snapshot technology with turn-key DR/BC failover using VMware SRM.Data Center migration. - Relocated 180 servers and 500 TB of storage to a new built out CoLo data center, approximately 8 racks of equipment. Migration was moved with 24 hours down time, and zero significant issues post migration.Active Directory Upgrade. - Designed and implemented AD topology to replace 2003 AD server to 2008 R2, including internal PKI and RADIUS servers for VPN and WiFi.Primary Litigation Server. - Several versions of design and implementation for the Firms primary Litigation server. Currently using DFS for Global Namespace and NetApp CIFS shares. Stores approximately 100 TB of data and 600 million files, all with 4 hour RTO/RPO using hardware level snapshot and replication.Exchange 2007 migration from 2003. Consolidated 12 Exchange 2003 servers into 2, moving approximately 12 TB of email and 50 million messages. Solution now houses 20+ TB, 75M messages.
