• Novell to Microsoft migration: Integral member of the Novell Netware to Microsoft Active Directory migration responsible for migrating over 1,200 Novell servers; over 200 TB of data; and over 100,000 users world-wide.(Project saved more than $10 million in Novell licensing; millions more in hardware, support and maintenance costs.)• Active Directory Operations Support: Key team player that maintains, supports, and configures over 3,500 Windows Servers. One of two administrators maintaining over 900 Active Directory Login Scripts. Assist in effort to migrate all separate .ini login script files to a Global Login Script via Global Policy Objects. Provide Level 3 OS support, including, but not limited to: DFS configuration and management; Windows printer configuration and management; storage management; GPO support.(Created scripting using Streaming Editor that brought a manual process, which took four days to complete, down to half a day's work.)•Project Leader: Led the US and offshore Indian team on numerous projects, including: the installation/upgrade/remediation of Symantec’s Enterprise Security Manager (ESM); participating in Data Protection Initiatives project in which tape-based backups are being replaced by tapeless data retrieval mechanisms; site consolidation and relocations; NetWare upgrades from NetWare 5.x and 6.0 to NetWare 6.5.; NetWare quarterly patches of over 1,200 file servers. • Successfully integrated two companies into the AverStar frame-relay network and converted their Microsoft Exchange email to our IMAP4 based email system. • Selected to work on the team charged with insuring the smooth transition to new facilities brought about by our acquisitions. • Successfully migrated thirteen NetWare 4.11 servers to NetWare 5.1. • Within six months, designed, planned, and upgraded thirteen NetWare 3.12 servers to NetWare 4.11. • Planned and implemented the conversion of over five hundred cc:Mail users to an IMAP4 based email system. • Developed a plan and directed the implementation to assess PC hardware and software for Y2K compliance. Researched, selected and provided to all locations, the tools needed to bring all systems into compliance. Only two minor Y2K software glitches have been encountered.
