Pete started in the Geotechnical industry in 1985. Initially as a technician casting flexural stress beams for QA during the Brisbane Airport construction. Worked in materials laboratories on other major infrastructure projects (Hinze Dam, Baroon Pocket Dam, Sunshine Coast Motorway) as well as geotechnical site investigation projects. He eventually ran NATA Registered laboratories which carried out geotechnical site investigations alongside materials testing. Being involved from drilling to reporting expanded to a broad range of skills from drill program design to OHS management and technical support on investigation projects. Former NATA Technical Assessor.Pete started MGS (Mapstone Geotechnical Services) in 2001. A specialist drilling company now a part of the PTG GROUP Consulting Engineers. He is involved with the design of specialist drilling equipment and drilling programs and enjoys working collaboratively with clients to solve site investigation challenges on projects for Tier 1 Consultants and Government clients.Pete has a solid understanding of drilling techniques, tooling and equipment, as well as solving access challenges from over water drilling to working in basements, and mud flats to mountain tops.
