Pete was a Fire Officer for over 30 years. During that time he served in four brigades and taught at the Scottish Fire Service College. He was involved with both the Windsor Castle Fire and the 7/7 terrorist attacks. Most of his time was spent as an operational officer, dealing with incidents based on a fire station. He has worked with numerous crews across London and Dumfries as both an incident commander and as a watch officer. Pete has always had an interest in training initially as a Duke of Edinburgh Instructor. Then with the Equality and Diversity team in London, finally as an instructor with the college. During his time at the college he specialised in Road Traffic Collision and casualty care. He was part of the fire investigation team during his service in London.
