Responsible for implementation and coordination of NUCOR Corporate Health and Safety policies for 200 employees with goals not only to meet but to exceed Federal Regulatory Guidelines and OSHA Standards. Responsible for Site Safety Management System to insure program is kept up to date with respect to operation changes and Corporate Policy changes. Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly and Annual Training Programs. Responsible for In-House Medical Clinic operations. Responsible for New Hire Physical and Introductory training requirements. Responsible for Worker Compensation program and communications. Assist management with special projects to insure safety requirements are met or exceeded especially with production related changes and/or additions.

Responsible for daily operations of a 200 union employee, 14 salaried, multifaceted manufacturing plant pertaining to the manufacturing of wooden toilet seats from raw material to finished product including raw material preparation, molding, finishing, product cost reduction and assembling of toilet seats. Total EHS responsibilities for entire 324 employee company operations above and beyond woodflour operations which included plastic injection molding operations, warehouse and shipping operations, including Air emissions, Waste Water and Storm Water discharge monitoring and management, RCRA, and Hazardous Waste Management responsibilities.

Responsible for total production operation of 71 union employees, 12 salaried employees, 74,000,000 brick annual production, and $32,000,000 facility.Responsible for all environmental compliance as Plant Environmental officer including on site waste/sewage water treatment facility.Responsible for 6 mining operations including water treatment facilities.Responsible for the interrelationship between Manufacturing, Sales and End-use Customers.

Responsible for assisting Plant Manager in all aspects of plant operation. Plant Safety and Environmental officer responsibilities (1 year and 3 years with no loss time incident). Responsible for all training and education requirements for Safety and Environmental Compliance. Responsible for hiring and enforcing company Rules of Conduct and Regulations in a unionized operation. Responsible for all quality aspects of operation including Quality lab.Responsible for New Product Development, introduced 3 new products which have become #4, #18, and #32 best sellers in 2006 of all BORAL’s 128 products.Was involved in the successful construction of 2 new tunnel kilns. Responsible for investigations of perceived product quality issues and communications to/with Sales.

Responsible for all Architectural Sales Distribution Customers’ needs in addition to National Distributor production needs. Responsible for 5 office personnel and 3 salesmen.Initiated 1st computer based shipping, sales, and inventory program.Responsible for Customer Relations concerning perceived product quality issues.

Responsible for purchasing function required in 3 facilities concerning production, maintenance supplies and raw materials. Initiated 1st computer based purchasing/inventory data system to allow historical data to be compiled to be used in price negotiating. Installed purchasing program which netted over $100,000 annual savings on purchased items. Responsible for all OSHA required safety programs. Responsible for all Federal and State required Environmental programs/regulations.

Responsible for Layout of 6 mining operations and Government Compliance concerning mining operations. Responsible for special construction projects submitted by customers concerning special shape designs. Responsible for drafting of customized in-house equipment. Initiated and designed Special Shapes and common Brick size catalog for Architectural Sales.
