I am a seasoned software engineer with experience in the telecommunications and the semiconductor sectors. Specialties: Perl, Object Oriented Perl, C, screen scraping, SQL,Tk GUIs, DBI/DBD, Oracle, SQLite, XML, UNIX, GNU/Linux, shell scripts, TN3270, FACS, LFACS, SWITCH, AAIS, CPAS, NWI.For 2-1/2 years in the Semiconductor sector, I was on contract to Texas Instruments designing, developing and maintaining Object Oriented Perl for semiconductor EDA applications which run on GNU/Linux platforms. This involved using SQLite, DBD/DBI, Tk, SQL, XML, HTML and much more. I developed original applications and I enhanced and maintained existing applications. I was the subject matter expert leading the hand-off of the application collection to another TI group.For 22 years in the Telecom sector, I designed, developed and maintained applications for OSP testing, customer database interfaces and screen scraping (e.g. TN3270), running on mainly HP-UX platforms. This work involved Perl, C, Tk, SQL, Oracle, DBD/DBI, MQSeries and much more. I am familiar with various telecommunications databases such as LFACS, SWITCH, AAIS, CPAS and NWI.
