At Eramosa I lead an excellent group of nearly 30 Automation Professionals to provide conceptual, preliminary, detailed design and control administration services to the Water Sector and Renewable Energy Sector. The group offers traditional Instrumentation & Controls, SCADA and Electrical Engineering services as well as integration of various data sources from our customer's automation systems outside of traditional SCADA sources. As an industry leader in managing big data we provide sophisticated solutions to both report and visualize data for our utility partners through our SMART Utilities initiative.In this role, I am responsible for managing three (3) System Integration teams including three team leaders with dedicated resource pools of team members. The responsibility and scope of these positions are described in subsequent sections of my experience as I previously completed each of these roles. I am also responsible for an Electrical Engineering team that provides design services including substation design (44kV, 27.6kV, 13.8kV), plant wide electrical distribution system (4160V/600V), lighting and low voltage power, site plans, single line diagrams (SLDs), control schematics, MCC design, short circuit & device coordination studies, grounding studies, arc flash analysis, and all associated engineering specifications.As a Group Leader, I am also involved in defining Eramosa business procedures, industry positioning, and services development to better serve our clients needs and the ever changing state of the industry. Deliverables produced in this role included developing Process Control Narratives (PCNs), I/O lists, control panel drawings, loop drawings, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), site plans, load lists, control schematics, engineering specifications, commissioning plans, developing software/code, creating and executing commissioning plans including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), I/O checks, and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs). A system integrator was expected to be flexible and be able to join a project at any stage, get up to speed on project specifics and execute specific tasks as well as supporting a project through total life cycle from concept to final commissioning and client hand-off.
