I love figuring out what something should do, how it could work better and be more useful. It’s been a common thread running through my career in software development.As a tester and test manager, I did this by focusing on bugs that impacted the business value. Anyone can tell you that it shouldn’t crash, but it takes real business acumen to know that what information needs to be on the first screen instead of the second, or that those columns in the table are in the wrong order.When I came to F5 Networks to build out the automation team, I realized that I was doing something new—running a dev team. Looking for guidance, I discovered agile. I loved it. As a product owner my entire focus was now on business value. I loved writing user stories, figuring out acceptance criteria, and building the backlog. As a coach, I get to look at it through a different lens. What is this team doing well? What is getting in their way or hindering their progress? What new habits can I help them build?I have deep expertise with both agile and waterfall software development methodologies. I’ve successfully introduced and implemented agile engineering practices. I’ve helped drive adoption and expansion of SAFe. What can I help you make better?
