Leads the Corvias Department of Defense business. Responsible for the long-and short-term success of the Corvias military housing portfolio, which consists of over 20,000 homes across seven Army Installations, including: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Ft. Meade, Ft. Liberty, Ft. Novosel, Ft. Johnson, Ft. Sill, and Ft. Riley. Oversees two 432-unit apartment projects on behalf of the partnerships at Ft. Meade and Ft. Liberty, and is pursuing additional single soldier apartment projects throughout the Corvias portfolio. Ensures that Corvias Property Management delivers the best resident experience, and that work is done on time and within established budgets. Oversees the development operations and ensures that Corvias Construction delivers high-quality construction services to maintain and improve the conditions of our assets. Ensures that Corvias understands its assets and makes data-driven investment decisions with our Army partners. Coordinates and delivers solar energy projects across the portfolio, and Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPCs) and Wellness upgrades to create healthy and resilient communities.

Project Description (as of 2020): PAL is a Public Private Partnership with the Army. The portfolio includes over 13,000 hotel rooms across 40 Army installations with IHG as the hotel operator. PAL generates just under $300M in revenue each year and maintains an average annual occupancy of 73%. Over the past 10 years PAL has built 13 new hotels, and 5 others currently under construction. PAL has also renovated 39 Holiday Inn Express buildings and 15 Historia buildings. Approximately $1B of construction spend to date, with another $3.5B planned for the remainder of the 50-year deal.Responsibilities included:Asset Management• Oversee and approve annual project budget and business plan• Oversee annual capital budget planning and implantation• Produce monthly and quarterly reports for the Army• Work with IHG to manage day to day hotel operationsDevelopment Management• Manage development team who oversees the design and construction of new hotels, renovation of old hotels, and installation of FFE/OSE• Manage overall development budget of approximately $150M/year in hard and soft costs• Produce monthly and quarterly reports for the Army• Review and approve all contracts for construction• Manage complex real estate contracts with the Army• Manage safety and environmental work associated with hotel construction and operationFinance and Accounting• Manage relationship with the bank to meet the ongoing financial needs of the project• Review and approve monthly financial reports• Approve all project expenditures and draws against $850M loan and project excess cash• Work to prepare annual audit of financial statements

Responsible for asset, property and development operations at Island Palm Communities (IPC) in Hawaii and North Haven Communities (NHC) in Alaska. IPC is one of the largest U.S. Department of Defense Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI) projects in size and scope, which includes the design and construction of 4,725 new homes and renovation of 2,515 existing homes across seven Army installations on Oahu. The project’s 12-year initial development plan was valued at $2.575B, and it has an additional $5.285B over the remaining 38-year project term. NHC encompasses the Army’s residential communities at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks and Fort Greely in Delta Junction. The construction of 582 new homes and two community centers and the renovation and conversion of 169 existing homes is planned, with an end-state of 1,815 homes.

Managed the asset and property operations, development, design and construction of the $253 million project.

Development Manager of Lendlease’s MHPI project at Fort Drum, N.Y. Responsible for construction management and coordination with the construction consultant and Army RCI partner for the $300M development that included the construction of 845 new homes and renovation of more than 2,200 existing homes. Facilitated unaccompanied soldier housing and additional scoring that increased the total project to approximately $500M.
