Hands-on practical experience with Git on a large mono-repo across 50+ members, but was the only intern among my eight subteam members and functioned as a new hire.As a part of in-between release work, fixed high-severity bugs across the PHP and React frontend code, authorization issues in the Python middleware, and issues in the bash + TCL operating system. Created new automation for debugging and validating fixes in the PHP codebase.As a part of the feature release, I migrated the User Account management page from PHP to React + Typescript, with unit tests written with Jest. Wrote supporting backend code, including PHP RPCs to interface with outstanding business logic, and Python API endpoints that interface with our Redis-backed database.

I explored the security and safety of same-process python execution, as well as options to safely sandbox untrusted user code. I identified and exploited a critical security flaw relating to this in the Illinois PrairieLearn grading system. I then provided mitigations to the PrairieLearn development team.
