Having completed much of the lower level protocol work, my efforts were then focused on efficient application protocols for resource constrained devices in conjunction with the IETF CoRE working group.

As network software lead, I worked with the I/O system hardware architect to analyze various alternatives for IP based networking (TCP and various congestion algorithms) for use in the HPCS reference design.Supernets – Secure networks over public infrastructureI was responsible for extending the Virtual Address Resolution Protocol (VARP) by implementing mappings for CIDR-style address blocks. I re-architected the administration server as a web based application using PHP & Postgres and contributed heavily to the design and delivery of the “Supernet appliance” – an embedded system.Java CarWorking with the Java Car team,investigated various network technologies to provide networking services within a mobile environment. Technologies included service location and shareable network devices on the in-car network. I managed and mentored students from Stanford's Student/Mentor program.Chief Technology Office: Netcentricity I led a team of 4 engineers to successfully demonstrate a VOIP server with RADIUS back-end. I designed and implemented a Service Location utility as a Java application. Participated in IETF development of Service Location Protocol (SLP) and related specifications.
