Providing CIO consulting on the technology implementation plan and the distributed antenna system (DAS) implementation for the new Formula One Race Track and motorsports complex (Circuit of the Americas) being developed in Austin, Texas. This includes: all Cellular (including cellular texting, apps, stats, photos, video, fan polls, games, etc.) and WiFi supporting the motorsports complex and it’s estimated 200,000 fans for event day; how eCommerce will be implemented and utilized at the complex including point of sale systems for merchandise and concessions; how wireless networks are used for scanning tickets, parking passes, security credentials and asset tracking; how cloud computing is designed to support day-to-day operations as well as event day operations; and radio frequency planning, coordination and implementation with a Dallas based firm to deploy all RF based equipment for operations. Spent eight seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, responsible for leading the technology team supporting 40 disparate lines of business including: the Dallas Cowboys Football Club, coaches, players and staff; a $250M/year Merchandise Operation; two MRI Centers; Oil & Gas businesses; real estate developments; the Cowboys Golf Course; and many other lines of businesses. Also responsible for AT&T Stadium’s technology design and implementation of the converged network, distributed antenna system (DAS), Wi-Fi and video distribution system earning the venue a reputation as the most technologically advanced sports and entertainment venue in the world. Technology features included Cisco’s Connected Sports and Entertainment solutions, which supports the LED boards and the seven-story tall center-hung HD scoreboard, point of sale systems, high-speed Wi-Fi and 3,500 HDTV displays. I also oversaw the installation of the Distributed Antenna System (DAS) that supports four wireless carriers and the development of the AT&T Stadium’s initial mobile app. Designed and developed the premier showcase stadium for the utilization of technologies in the Sports & Entertainment industry.Designed, developed and implemented the entire technology strategic and tactical plans for Cowboys Stadium (AT&T Stadium).Implemented the largest indoor Distributed Antenna System (DAS) in the United States at Cowboys Stadium.Developed the Mobility strategy for Mobile Apps unveiled at Super Bowl XLV at Cowboys Stadium.Designed, developed and implemented the entire technology strategic and tactical plans for the Dallas Cowboys enterprise consisting of 40+ businesses, 100+ locations and supporting 500+ employees. Led, transformed and restructured the Global IT organization into a streamlined and value-added operating business entity in 13 countries. Redirected resources to eliminate wasteful projects with a cost savings of $7 million in the first quarter.Directed the architecture and implementation of the global WAN infrastructure connecting operations in the US, Canada, Europe, China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai and Australia. Implemented Financial and HR systems to streamline the business operations (10% staff reduction) and supply real-time data to decision makers. Revised and implemented IT strategies, both short term and long term, to improve employee morale and greatly improve internal customer satisfaction rate worldwide. Beginning customer satisfaction rate started at 12% with a problem resolution rate of 34%. Within 3 months the customer satisfaction rate increased to 94% and the problem resolution rate increased to 84%. Further cost saving investments included: Implementing a Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions to reduce telecommunication costs worldwide and implementing Lotus Notes Sametime to provide Video Conferencing over our global network at minimal cost to the company.
