The Regional Director of Operational Excellence is charged with the responsibility of developing and imbedding the skills and behaviors that will establish a sustainable continuous improvement culture within PCI. Is further responsible for deployment of the skills and disciplines associated with the tools of Lean / Six Sigma across the entire PCI region.The Regional Director of Operational Excellence also executes several continuous improvement work streams which include the following: Lean assessment, Lean deployment, Benchmarking, Maturity Assessments, Lean & Six Sigma training, Project Definition and selection, DMAIC, Change Management, Workout and all activities related to this sustained cultural change. Duties and Responsibilities:• Coach, mentor and develop full-time site Operational Excellence resources (Black Belts) in the region• Facilitate problem-solving sessions such as Kaizen or Workouts to lead teams to address issues which may not require an expanded DMAIC approach• Lead site/functional teams on site-specific or cross-business unit projects. • Identify viable belt projects in the course of site interaction or assessments• Escalate and remove barriers to black belt project progress and career advancement• Communicate frequently with Global Operational Excellence Leader and COO/VP Operations on site(s) overall progress towards Lean Six Sigma maturity and results, including financials.

Accountable for all Engineering, Technical Transfer and Continuous Improvement at Penn Pharmaceuticals. Penn Pharmaceutical is a leading contract manufacturer in solid oral dosage including manufacturing, packaging and clinical trials.

• Leading all Manufacturing activities ensuring both corporate and site targets are achieved, and all regulatory requirements maintained.• Lead the Business Transformation developing appropriate strategies that enable a cultural change to cellular manufacturing.• Continuous Improvement strategies for all departments, including Supply Chain, Engineering and Quality.• Budgetary control within the Production and Continuous Improvement departments.• Developing Key Performance Indicators across the site, ensuring all corporate and site targets are achieved.• Health & Safety within all Production areas, ensuring all targets are met and sustained, including all appropriate risk assessments.

• All site activities including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Validation, Research & Development, Operational Excellence and Projects.• Control of site Profit & Loss accounts, capital expenditure of £12m in fiscal year.• Accountable for all Manufacturing Lines in the UK and US, with budgetary controls of £20m per manufacturing line.• Responsible for negotiations with all customers regarding new Supply and Development Agreements.• Responsible for capacity expansion projects, including client sponsored expansion programmes.• All Health & Safety for the site, ensuring corporate targets are maintained and improved annually.
