The first 10 years working for a mid-sized decorating company employing 30 decorators. The next 25 years teaching spraying and decorating at a local college and finally running his own spraying business and training academy. I started teaching painting and decorating at Preston College (as it was back then) in 1992. I had been self employed as a decorator and always fancied teaching. When a post came up I applied for the job and got it. I taught at college for many years, teaching all types of students from Adult signwork students to interior design. I have taught 14 - 16 students on the school links program and even under 10's on out curriculum centre courses aimed at primary schools.Over all those years i taught apprentices too. I have been involved in the development of new courses and the management of the apprenticeship provision. Over the years I have taught some amazing apprentices and worked with many amazing employers too.
