Played for a team based computer game for an organisation where we would travel the world competing in various local, national and worldwide competitions.I also had to attend any media events sent to throughout the country and try to promote gaming with methods such as radio, newspapers and television.We had a base salary whilst under the organisation but our main source of income would come as bonuses from winning competitions and participating in various media events.The most prestigious event that I competed in was known as the 'Championship Gaming Series World Finals'. To gain access to the “The 'CGS' World Finals”, each team had to compete in their regions local competition (including Europe, USA, Asia, Australia etc) to gain a place in the finals; of which, there were only 10 places from around the world. My franchise/team was known as the Birmingham Salvo. I competed in both the 2007 and 2008 events which were both held in Los Angeles.In 2008 we managed to secure victory and gained a $500,000 bonus for winning.The event itself was broadcast to over 400 million viewers worldwide and had TV companies such as DirecTV, Sky, ESPN and Eurosport covering it.
