Recruited to form a new division. Hired and built the development team that successfully created a new family of IP network based videoconferencing, virtual meeting and collaboration products. Led development effort for NetConference v1.0, a NT software based H.323 Multipoint Conferencing System, including a Java based Conference Management applet and companion Scheduling Application.Spearheaded the design and deployment of “PictureNet”, PictureTel’s VPDN, to assess the viability of running IP based Video Conferencing and T.120 data traffic reliably over an Intranet.Piloted development of a videoconference recording, archiving and Web based distribution system for viewing of a videoconference by people who were unable to attend/participate in the original meeting.
